Minnesota vs New Orleans

The top 2 seeds meet in what should be a pretty good game. The Saints silenced critics by routing the Arizona Cardinals, and the Minnesota Favres put a stomping on Big D. The Saints are clicking on offense, and Reggie Bush's last performance couldn't have come at a better time. Even if Jeremy Shockey were to miss the game, I think back-up David Thomas is still a good enough receiving threat. It all depends on that Vikes D-line. They put constant pressure on T...

I still remember like it was yesterday.

Running back Ricky Williams, who most thought would be the first running back picked, was skipped by the Colts and thus, Mike Ditka traded away the farm to get the guy he wanted.

Ricky was a Saint, while a whole draft and then some, were gone to the Redskins.

I was a huge Ricky fan. His days at Texas, I remember his long run that broke Tony Dorsett's all-time college rushing record. I remember when his Texas team went into Lincoln and beat ...

Ah yes, the first game of December and it's a loss for the Dallas Cowboys. For the fans, it's just another headshake loss and face palm moment.

It's not like it's a Wade Phillips issue, it's an organization issue. Dating back to after they actually won in the playoffs, they've seem to hit a brick wall when November ends.

The latest loss is just another constant with the team: right when you think they're going to take that big step and seize control of the division, they don't show u...

The Good

Carson Palmer

I was pretty close to adding Cedric Benson to this as well as part of a ‘revenge' sort of thing, but it was Benson's fault he wore out his welcome with da bears. Regardless, Palmer was 20/24 for 233 yards and 5 TD's with a QB rating of 146.7. He usually saved his heroics for the 4th quarter, but he went all out on the Bears defense. He had TD passes to four different players, and connected 10 times with Ocho Cinco for 118 yards. But, yeah, Cedric Benson's 189...

Early last week, late this week. Go figure.

1-New Orleans Saints
Huge comeback has NOLA flying high for Monday Night Football.

2-Indianapolis Colts
Essentially another bye week against the Rams, they await the Niners.

3-Denver Broncos
Big game against the Ravens on the road.

4-New England Patriots
An all paid vacation to London and now a bye...

5-Pittsburgh Steelers
The defense stepped up big as they stopped Favre and another comeback.

6-Minnesota Vikings
Hmm, I w...

I have a memory from elementary school when I was standing at the bus stop down in southern Mississippi talking something about New Orleans Saints football. Back then, my attention to the team was not what it is today, but the seeds were planted then that have grown into an unwavering love for the black and gold. The Saints were down 24-3 against the Miami Dolphins Sunday heading into the half. The Saints had a 4th and 1 at the Dolphins 1 yard line and were lining up for a field goal. The D...

School projects are done so the rankings go up!

1-New Orleans Saints
Drew Brees was spectacular. Best team in the NFL, ‘nuff said. Dare I say...Who Dat!

2-Indianapolis Colts
Coming off a bye and they get the Rams, thanks to whoever came up with that schedule.

3-Denver Broncos
It's amazing at how this defense has transformed from horrible last year to one of the best this season.

4-Minnesota Vikings
Defense was a letdown, but Favre stepped up with another game winning drive....

Oh wow getting these up before a Sunday?! Can't sleep so I figured I'd knock this one out...

The Good
Drew Brees/O-line
Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce said of playing the Raiders a week before, "it was like playing a scrimmage." Well that's what it must've felt like for the Saints offense as they stomped a Texas sized mud hole into the Giants. Brees had all day to pass, and I'd be surprised if he even broke a sweat. The performance by the Saints offensive line gets an A+++. Without ...

Week #1
1 - New Orleans Saints
A week to rest, get healthy (Mike Bell), and game plan for the Giants. Last thing you want is extra time for Sean Payton.
2 - Indianapolis Colts
They jumped New York, but this team is just too good. All without Anthony Gonzalez and Bob Sanders, whew.
3 - New York Giants
I'm not underrating them one bit, but it'll be a showdown between their defense and the Saints offense.
4 -Denver Broncos
The student beat the teacher and the defense shut the book on T...

The Good

Josh McDaniels

I couldn't have been more wrong about McDaniels and the Broncos. They're 5-0 and Kyle Orton sure isn't looking like the quarterback that Bears fans said couldn't cut it. Brandon Marshall and the young guru were going head to head, yet they're looking like BFF's now.
Sidenote: seeing him after the game all giddy like a little kid was pretty cool. He beat his mentor, in a pretty griddy game at home, and he was pumped up. If you don't like that, there's someth...
